I think those predictions are awful I highly doubt the Isles will come in last place again. I can’t see the Panthers finishing ahead of the Rangers and Atlanta being a playoff team. Terrible predictions.
Worst predictions ever. Sens and leafs are exactly opposite of your picks.
We’ll see…
Atlanta ahead of Toronto? You Cant be serious.. Im a Bruins fan and I think the Leafs will finish in 8th not Atlanta
youre crazy man!
You’re not the only one.
Were you the guy telling me last season the Canucks wouldn’t win the NW?
No.
leafs will miss the playoffs again this year, guaranteed
I wouldn’t say it like it is guaranteed. If their goaltending steps up, they could really surprise this season.
I highly doubt that it’s guarenteed… They’ve built a brick wall behind their mediocre offense. New Jersey makes it every year due to solid defence and great goaltending. That being said; Atlanta finishing above them is also unlikely.
Atlanta is in a similar boat as Toronto. Iffy goaltending. Atlanta has a great offense, and their defense will be much better now with Kubina and Bogosian who is no longer a rookie.
If Atlanta can get Lehtonen to step up and stay consistent, they could be like the St. Louis Blues of last season, as far as a surprise team goes.
I don’t think the Colorado will finish last place in the conference again. I don’t think they’ll make the playoffs, but they may surprise people with emerging players (Jones, Wolski, Maybe Duchene). If Craig Anderson can step up this season and play like he did for the thirty something games in Florida, we may begin to see a small turn around from the franchise.
Chicago is going to win the Conference. Not San Jose.
I can’t see the Sens finishing 14th in Eastern Conference this year. I’d have them squeeking in as the 8th seed to the playoffs, with Atlanta bumped down out of the playoff mix.
What makes you think the Sens will make it? Just wondering.
So the team who won the cup will finish fourth???? Horrible predictions. Pits have to be 1st or second. I like boston but i think they overperformed. I can see wash first, pits second boston third, new jersey fourth. West will be sharks, detroit then cal or van. The rest of the teams don’t matter because i can see any of the rest win a cup.
So Pittsburgh automatically deserves a top two spot because they won the Cup? Cool.
the habs will not make the playoff this years the worst team i ever seen loll
all small smurf
Which team won the most cups watopka??? just wondering if you knew
just wanted to remind you that you made this comment. And how stupid you must feel now that you have to admit you don’t know what your talking about.
They are a fast looking team at least. They have a good D as well. They should be alright.
I don’t know why everyone thinks the sens will be one of the last in the eastern conference. I mean, yes… there have been some big changes. With heatly gone — I think people think things will be bad. But Heatly may be causing issues (and will not play well if not happy — so good for him to be gone). With changes in lines and positioning I am not saying they will be amazing. But I don’t think they will necessarily be as bad as everyone thinks. And frankly if goaltending works well… sens could do well.
And leafs… I think leafs will be close to the playoffs or just make it. But thats as long as they play like they are playing in the pre-season. And with goaltending – we hope things are ok.
Other than that — I think teams will sway a little in the top three in each conference.
I think the Sens could be better than I ranked them because they have a solid three offensive lines now. I still think their Defense and especially goaltending is very iff going into the season. I’m not sure they can score more goals more often than they allow.
The Sens had there chance three years ago, they kicked a$$ but the team just don’t have it anymore.
I think these predictions are a bit off. canadians wont make the playoffs. if their first line doesnt click than they wont score. and even if they do click, you need secondary scoring. The leafs will make the playoffs. Thier goaltending will be solid. Toskala will have to perform if he wants to stay starting goalie because gustavsson has looked promising. The leafs defense is arguably the best in the league and thier offense is decent after getting kessel. And ottawa and the rangers will finish a bit higher than that.
Just a note. you couldn’t have been more wrong in 2009. What will you predict wrong this year?
Habs have more to depend on than their first line. If Carey Price plays good he will play a bigger part in how good they are in my opinion.
hehe this years in 100 years of history the worst team them have. to small you will see tomorow its will begin they will lose to the leaf . small baby price wont have a good season. i predicted they will have 5 lost in they road games.. theys sucks
i say the habes will finish dead last in the west
In the West?
in the east sory loll! maybe coyote will finish last
Look who’s winning the first game… the habs… haha
They are not even well adjusted yet in terms of team chemistry (except gionta and gomez maybe)… They completely changed the core of the team. Once they have a better team chemistry, habs would definitely make the playoff…
And I think Red Wings would keep the 100+ points tradition if they remain constant with their core (including osgood who had the worst season ever, last year)… I’d say they would end up in top 3 in the West.
First game are always tough to gauge how good a team is. I remember the Leafs went into Joe Louis Arena last season on opening night and beat the Red Wings.
We’ll know how good teams are by the end of the month.
whit the big lost of markov whos will replace him .
los angeles and nashville are rumored to be interested in serge kostitine.
what we can have in exchange of serge?
Probably nothing more than a pick considering Montreal has no leverage after he demanded a trade.
we make our prédiction all lolll
I like the West picks, but I would replace Dallas with Columbus, Dallas isn’t that great of a team and i think Columbus will be hot this year and have more confidence after clinching a playoff spot last year. Ottawa finishing 14th is just ridiculous, they are a solid team that had one bad season which was last year, now with the additions of three snipers kovalev, michalek, cheechoo (<-although went downhill due to injuries) and red hot goaltender Leclaire (also injuries) they are a more balanced team and will definitely clinch a playoff spot. I can see Islanders finishing last again, u cant expect a 19 year old to help the team THAT much.. although Crosby did… AND Leafs and Montreal will finish 13 and 14th. and boston wont be that great this year, i see them finishing 8th
Okay……Rangers 12th? I can sort of understand why you would place them there, but they are defianetley a playoff team. Seeing that Gaborik stays healthy and they keep playing like they are now (7 straight wins) they will finish higher than they did last year. As for the rest of the Eastern Confrence predicitons it was pretty awful. Boston will not finish 1st again…. The pens will. You can count on the Leafs to come in last this year. Canadians wont be a playoff team. Neither will the Devils.
i’d have to argue with you on that one……. Devils not making the playoffs are highly unlikely
the devs have made the playoffs the last 10 seasons in a row. why would you think that this is the year they dont. sure their 3 and 4 lines are mostly rookies. i think the langenbrunner, parise, zajac line will dominate this season. they still have good defense. and a high power second line. i’d say top 3 in the east come playoffs and a good chance for the cup
The problems in the west are that the Sharks will not finish first in the confrence. They will make the playoffs but choke like they always do, with or without Heatley. They two big problems are the Avalanche will defianetley NOT finish last. Anderson is playing great, and the rest of the team is clicking. I could seem them as a playoff team. Another promise I can make you is that the Kings will make the playoffs.
Next time tell me this before the season starts, ok? It’s easy to come in here three weeks into the season and say what is what.
Ya your right im sorry, I shouldnt have critisized so heavily three weeks in but I would have been saying the same thing before the season, but sorry again.
We’ll have to wait and see. That’s all.
Wow, Colorado in last? Don’t think so. They’ll be much better this year with a more energetic offense and a stronger defense. Also, Dallas won’t make the cut, and the Senators (although they may not make the playoffs) certainly won’t be as low as 14th place. And did you seriously say that Atlanta will make the playoffs? Wow.
Devils finishing 7th……….. i think you’re underestimating them just a little ……… that Carolina upset in game 7 was a fluke….. I’d place them in 3rd or 4th.
Rangers……..they will certainly out due both toronto and florida…..
now that we are 1/3 of the way through the season. i’d say the finals will be blackhawks or sharks vs pens, devs, or caps.
i’d have to say devs before the other two. they have been through many injuries this season so far and have called up rookies to fill in the gaps with success. bergfors is a great addition to the team. as a rookie so far this season with 11 goals. some people might not think so because of the loss of madden and gionta and no major offseason trades. but they always find ways to win. plus brodeur is looking for another cup before he retires plus looking for that oh so sweet shutout record which he now is tied for 1′st all time. The hawks are hungry. if their goalies hold up through the rest of the season they are a great pick for lord stanley finals.
Would like to know where you get your information to put the Sabres in 11th place.
because sabers sucks dude its beacuse of miller they did the playoff
ur predictions are awful. Boston in first place!! u kidding me. They clinched first by fluke last year, same with the canadiens the year before and lokk were they ended up after that. And Sens in 14th!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!! They had one bad season and now they’re the worst team all of a sudden??? u just based ur predictions off of last year’s standings dumb fuck
The Buffalo Sabres will finish in the 3rd seed, and win the cup. Ryan Miller will have an amazing year, and get the silver metal for team USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LETS GO BUFFFFFFFFFFALO!!!!!!!!!
the caps will win in 4 games
well lookie lookie… I bleed orange and i love and always will stick to my team , But one one talked about the Philadelphia Flyers, its NOT a fluke why we are in the cup and will win the cup, we knocked out NYI in the shoot out of the last game, shut down the NJD, and made hisory when coming back from a 3-0 and beating down the DAM Canadiens, now we sit looking at the cup, we look so relaxed playing when Chicago looks streesed out.. HAHA.. win will be taking the cup…
